NetTracer

The NetTracer story began in 1989 when entrepreneur Bryan Owens developed the baggage tracing system, BagNet®. BagNet’s revolutionary pull-down menus and on-screen helped simplify the process of baggage management and tracing, eliminating the need to search through instruction manuals for archaic codes and functions. BagNet grew in functionality and was sold to Southwest Airlines in 1995 for use as an internal baggage tracing system.

Owens continued to believe that there was an industry wide need for an alternative baggage tracing solution and founded NetTracer, Inc. in 2004 with the vision of becoming the Next Generation baggage tracing and lost & found management solution provider to the airline industries. NetTracer is a member of The Owens Group International, an organization with over 40 years’ experience serving the transportation industry. Driven by core strengths of Innovation, Flexibility and Responsiveness, we utilized our in-depth understanding of airline baggage to develop NetTracer™, our signature baggage tracing solution. First launched in 2005, NetTracer™ has become THE best-of-class baggage tracing solution.

Utilizing extensive knowledge and experience developing algorithms and integrating with multiple airline systems, we developed NetTracer FS™ in collaboration with much of the domestic US airline industry in 2011. Built as the Next Generation fraudulent baggage claims screening solution, NetTracer FS™ is poised to become a global solution. Also in 2011, we expanded upon the lost & found capabilities of NetTracer™ to develop NetTracer™ Lost & Found a stand-alone solution perfect for car rental companies, airports, train lines and other industries.
